Day 1: Phnom Penh Tour
Visit Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, it is the official residence of the King Cambodia. After that, we continue to see Central Market then drive to Russian market for shopping. We take a break in the mid-day. In the afternoon, we drive to watch Independent Monument that was built in 1962 to celebrate Cambodia’s independence from the foreign rule. Later we take the river cruise along the riverfront to look sunset and get fresh-air.
Day 2: Phnom Penh Tour
Visit National Museum is the most important repository of Khmer artefacts in the country. Then we drive to Wat Phnom is the unique hillock in the city, is crowned by at active Buddhist Wat and marks the legendary founding place of Phnom Penh. Going to Toul Sleng genocide museum, calls S-21 prison during Pol Pot’s regime, then continue to see Choeung Ek Memorial, killing field.
Day 3: Phnom Penh to Kampong Thom
Leave Phnom Penh in the morning and drive to Kampong Thom. and stop in Skun, local people call Spider Village where you can taste the fresh deep-fried spiders and other fried-insects, visit a famous sandstone carving village, wondering around town.
Day 4: Kampong Thom to Siem Reap
Drive to visit the famous Sambor Prei Kuk, it is an ancient city that has about two hundred brick temples. Sambo Prei Kuk served as the capital of the Khmer Empire before Angkor for over 100 years. Then visit a typical Khmer village, Kampong Kleang, a large flooded/floating village with stilted houses in Tonle Sap Lake. From there drive to Siem Reap and arrive in the evening.
Day 5: Siem Reap Tour
Visit Roluos group, there are 3 temples built before the capital moved to Angkor, Lolei – Bakong – Preah Ko. Explore the famous world’s largest religious monument Angkor Wat, Phnom Bakheng Hilltop temple.
Day 6: Siem Reap Tour
Early start to avoid the crowd of the tourists to visit a famous jungle temple Ta Prohm (the temple in Tomb Raider film). The temple has many big trees and the roots grow on the buildings. Continue to see Banteay Kdei and Sras Srang then drive to visit a unique red sandstone temple called Banteay Srei or Pink-lady temple, the best and details carving building. Hike Kbal Spean to see sculptures carved in the river-bed including hundreds of lingas and tiny waterfall. Sunset at Pre-Rup.
Day 7: Siem Reap Tour
Visit Angkor Thom, the old capital and was the last and most enduring capital city of Khmer empire, enter through The Gate of Victory and keep going to the Bayon, then to the Terraces of the Elephants, Royal Palace Group, visit Preah Khan, was built in the 12th century for King Jayavarman VII to honour his father, Neak Pean, Baksei Chamkrong. Explore Angkor Silk-farm is one of the best-known projects in Siem Reap. It was developed with the aim to revive ancient Cambodian Arts & Crafts while improving the lives of thousands of people living in rural areas.
Day 8: Siem Reap to Battambang
On the way to Battambang, there are many interesting spots, villages monasteries and especially rice paddy-filed. We say Battambang is a unique Cambodian rice storeroom because there are very high number of farmers plant rice. We drive to Banteay Chhmar Temple, the temple complex, its moat, Baray (water reservoir) and surrounding unspoilt environment comprises a unique archaeological site and a vital link in Cambodia’s cultural heritage.
Day 9: Battambang Tour
Visit in the central of Battambang town to visit French colonial buildings, home to some of Indochina’s best preserved colonial era architecture. After we drive to the village to see the Traditional Khmer house is on stilts, rice paper of spring-roll, Khmer rice whiskey, Khmer noodle making. Afternoon you go to experience with Bamboo Train. Local people call Norrie, it was very popular for local transportation in 1980. Sunset at Bat Cave, you can watch spectacular million bats fly out of the cave.
Day 10: Battambang to Kampong Chhnang
An easy journey to the capital of Cambodia Phnom Penh, on the way you can visit Kampong Luong floating villages in the beautiful backdrop of Tonle Sap, floating market and shops, floating school and houses of fish men, stop at Ondong Rossey village in Kampong Chhnang to visit the area’s famous red pottery. The villagers make pottery under every stilted house as home-business to earn their living.
Day 11: Kampong Chhnang to Phnom Penh International Airport
Today you get a transfer to Phnom Penh International Airport for the departure flight. The journey takes about two hours.
